Located in the heart of Wilmington, the Cape Fear Naturalist Co., offers eco- tours throughout several distinctive habitats throughout the Cape Fear Region. Eco-tours are ecologically based outdoor excursions that focuses on the identification and understanding of coastal ecosystem function. Tours are conducted on a variety of water vessels, including a 28ft catamaran, kayak, and motorized canoe. Program topics include water bird and shorebird identification, freshwater and saltwater ecosystem dynamics, and water quality issues.
