Anghus Houvouras was born the son of a militant Armenian plumber and a Dutch bicycle enthusiast. He spent his youth on the mean fairways of South Florida where his angry prose and creative spirit found no respite. His restlessness took him to the only place where a creative mind and furious anger could find an outlet: the Dirty South. A decade-long collaboration with the hip hop community produced the films "20 Funerals" and "Dead Heist." Though his films were not well-received in America, they found audiences in smaller, smarter countries like Germany and Japan. Currently located in the Cape Fear region of North Carolina, Anghus continues to write movies, books, and comics, including the novel "My Career Suicide Note" and the upcoming feature "A Civilized World."
