Show Begins at 7 PM

After nearly fourteen years of playing guitar, changing addresses multiple times during a period of aimlessness, and a major break-up, Patrick Carr comes forth with a multitude of original songs that are confessional, introspective, and intricate.

Heavily influenced by artists such as Nick Drake, Ryley Walker, and Bon Iver, he mixes complex fingerpicked guitar-playing, alternate tunings, and an earnest voice to create songs that are reflections of not only his past, but the present.

In October of 2017, he released his debut EP entitled When the Road Darkens. Described as a kind of catharsis, Patrick says the EP is an attempt to “excavate thoughts and feelings that had been bottled up for a while.” Throughout these five songs, he deals with a slew of personal emotions and experiences ranging from hope, longing, past loves, and depression. Brian Tucker of Wilmington Star news writes, “Carr’s ‘When the Road Darkens’ feels like a dream, hazy and haunted, with his voice like a mix of Jim Morrison and Neil Young.”
