Into the Mystic

In a time where life is whisking by a little more quickly thanks to the influx of technology keeping us connected 24/7, staying centered remains more important to many day by day. While our spiritual journeys all require different approaches, one place in Wilmington hoping to alleviate environmental chatter and engage in the soul is Mystic Elements. Once known as Visions and Dreams, located at 4403 Park Avenue, Lorraine Annacone took over the establishment in February.

“As I became more and more exposed to the services and products provided in the store, I saw great potential in increasing not only the awareness of the benefits but also the variety of metaphysical services being provided to improve the spiritual well being of all members of our local community,” the four-year Wilmingtonian states. “This motivated me to consider taking over ownership of the store when it became available.”

After customer feedback, Annacone began remodeling and expanding its offerings. She increased retail products and added an inviting sitting area so customers can interact with like-minded folks in a relaxing setting. “This room also serves as a workshop room for the various workshops routinely offered by our staff members and guest readers and healers,” Annacone notes.

The store’s new name, Mystic Elements, will offer a vast array of stones and crystals not only noted for their metaphysical benefits but which will appeal to collectors, too. The store will sell jewelry and stone pendants, along with incense, candles, sages and burners. “We also have unique statuary and we are the exclusive retailer of fairies and woodland creatures made by local artist Kimberley Coffman,” Annacone notes.

Most impressive are the staff who will offer professional, thoughtful services. The experienced practitioners provide psychic readings, ThetaHealing and a variety of modalities of energy healing.

Originally skilled in interior design, Annacone takes on her first business with fresh eyes and a hopeful outlook. “While I am new to ownership of a metaphysical store, I have a passion to create a welcoming environment that will provide people a space to be open to learning about ways to enhance their spiritual well-being,” she says. She also plans for Mystic Elements to be involved in local charities. “I believe it is important to give back and support local charities,” Annacone says. “Now that we have established ourselves and got off to a good start, I will be shifting some of my focus towards getting involved in these kind of opportunities.”

On Wednesday, Sept. 5th, Annacone will be welcoming all customers, new and returning, to the “Grand Awakening” of Mystic Elements from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Music, refreshments, deals on merchandise and interaction with healing arts professionals will take place.
