  1. NHC Downtown Library Seeking Volunteers
Cape Fear Volunteer Center is seeking a volunteer to help shelving in the Children’s Department at the downtown NHC LIbrary. The Library needs a dependable person (or persons) to help keep our books shelved and in order so families can find what they are looking for. This job involves a lot of bending and squatting while shelving. We prefer a six-month commitment with a weekly schedule but this is negotiable. The books are shelved using author’s names as well as the Dewey Decimal System. Training is provided. This is a long-term commitment with 2 or 3 different days and times. Interested volunteers should visit the link and fill out a volunteer registration form. #capefearvolunteercenter
