EDITORIAL INTERNSHIPS

Interested in learning more about alternative journalism? Apply for an encore editorial internship. Our interns don’t fetch coffee — OK, sometimes they fetch lunch on Fridays. More importantly, they gain real-world experience in helping produce the area’s premier alternative weekly publication.

To participate, interns must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and be able to earn academic credit. Internships are available during the fall, winter, spring and summer semesters. All internships are unpaid. For information on how to apply, email shea@encorepub.com. No phone calls, please.

  1. I would love to see what you are about! I’m all about hosting and learning more about putting the word out there! Hopefully I get a chance to learn more and be involved! I would love a chance to learn something new and exciting!

    Hi,
I’m a coach and can submit copy for a column in Encore. Please take a look at my website listed above so that you know the nature of my work. I’m not looking to be paid for this yet it would not be a formal “internship”. I’d be offering my professional experience and answering current questions from your readers!

If you think that this would be a good “fit” for your publication, please let me know!

    All the best,

PS I’ve recently moved back to Wilmington from Charlotte, NC and have completed a ten year term on the NC Film Council. (If that helps you with credibility issues.) Thank you!
